Protecting children against dangerous but preventable diseases.
This is Lora and her 9-month old daughter Lubumba. Lora was paralyzed as a young child when she contracted polio
“I was born healthy – but then I got sick and my legs went numb, and then I couldn’t use them anymore. I do not want my daughter to suffer the way I did, and still do!” says Lora.
That’s why Lora brought her 9-month-old daughter Lubumba to the village health center for the polio vaccination day.
“This vaccination will help my baby grow up strong and healthy,” Lora says, tenderly caressing her daughter’s head.
This Mother’s Day, please give your support to help more mothers like Lora keep their children safe from dangerous, but preventable, diseases.
